It is in a strip mall but inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the ambiance is pleasant. There were so many things on the menu that sounded good and knowing we wouldn't havean opportunity to be back soon we ordered a lot.We started with the scallops and pork belly both of which were very flavourful. We split the beet salad which was light and refreshing. The server had the salad split onto two plates for us which was a thoughtful touch. For our mains my partner had the large plate chefs special which was beef tenderloin with hassleback potato. The beef was so good it practically melted in your mouth. My main was the cauliflower risotto, which was cooked perfectly. And for desert - creme brule. We were stuffed and sated and just spectacularly pleased with our whole meal. It is listed on Trip Advisor as fine dining, and the food and service were spot on. But it isn't pretentious or uncomfortable at all.For the two of us with drinks and tip we spent $150. We were fine with that but we did find some of the prices somewhat steep with regard to portion sizes and ingredients. However that wouldn't put us off visiting again.
This is a wonderful restaurant for casual or a more formal lunch or dinner. I love calamari and soups and I was not disappointed. We were there for lunch and although they do not have a large menu, the items that are offered are beautifully done. I'd go back again.
In our quest to try different restaurants around Kingston we headed to Days on Front. We found the menu to have various choices for all appetites. We started with the Tempura Shrimp as the appetizer. Their were a generous helping of the shrimp and the dish was quite tasty. For dinner we had the beef short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was tasty but could use a little more seasoning to make it tastier.Dessert was blueberry and peach pie which was good to finish the meal.Staff was very friendly and very attentive, our waitress did an outstanding job.Definitely will be back in the future.
We stopped here for lunch, food was very good, service a bit slow, bathroom was dirty but overall restaurant seemed clean. We had chicken and steak sandwiches, both delicious. Asparagus soup needs zing, just tasted like baby food. We probably won't come back here, it's a bit out of the way if you're visiting downtown Kingston.
Have been here 3-4 times and like it a lot . It is a quiet and well appointed dining room . Not really set up for wheelchair access or we would of loved to bring another couple with us who needs wheelchair access .Food is excellent and affordable. My hat off to the owner and chefs . Most food is fresh, Fries are frozen I think and I really don't eat them anyway . We drive about 45-50 km to eat here and worth the drive.
