Salty's Fish And Chips - Langford

As always, the food and service were excellent. This is our go-to spot for fish and chips, and it never fails to impress. Highly recommended!

If you are going to have a website perhaps you should make sure it's current. Checked website, said you were open on Tuesdays. Drove in from Sooke to find out you're closed on Tuesdays.

As a newcomer to the area from Britain, I was eager to sample the fish and chips. Unfortunately, my takeout experience fell short. The portion sizes were surprisingly small, the chips were just mediocre, and the fish was overly greasy and too moist, which completely ruined the batter. I decided to give the restaurant another chance this evening but called multiple times without getting an answer. Frustrated, I chose to dine elsewhere. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this place.

I love my fish and chips, and enjoy them every chance I get. I've had Salty's before and enjoyed them.This location might need some attention. Food is good, but honestly, my shoes stuck to the floor.Malt vinegar is key, but the bottle leaked as the top was not installed properly and ended up leaking excessively. Salt shaker was sticky, and I had trouble getting salt out (clumping). Enjoyed the traditional coleslaw, but had similar issues with the pepper shaker!!I didn't check out the washrooms or peek into the kitchen....

When a restaurant specializes in such a simple dish like this, I expect better than... barely mediocre. For the real deal in Victoria, go to Barb's at fisherman's wharf.
