Lewes Fish

The food at this restaurant is freshly cooked and delicious, and the service is very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good fish and chips.

Comfortably the best Chippy in Lewes. It would be better if it opened past 9pm, but whatever time it’s open the fish is cooked to order and the batter is crisp and not too greasy. Oh, and the curry sauce is neither too watery or too gluey. Very fond of this place.

On a day out in Lewes, we came across this fish-and-chip shop, and were delighted to find that it sold gluten-free food. The chef, Amon, was very pleasant and helpful, and explained that the gluten -free orders were cooked in a separate fryer, and were suitable for coeliacs. We ordered two portions of cod and chips, one GF, and one not. Both were delicious- freshly cooked, good-sized portions, light crispy batter, chunky white fish, and piping hot chips. Excellent value, and a great find.

The best fish and chips I’ve had. Nice and crispy and not greasy. A good price too. It was great to be able to pre order and it was ready when I arrived. Excellent service.

Got 'cod ' and chips for nearly a tenner. not cod though, it 's a thin fillet of white fish like basa cod is one of my favourite fish thick chunky fillets not thin won 't be going there again don 't know how they can get away with passing off vastly inferior thin white fish as cod
