finding myself sitting on hard wooden stools, I opted for Kirin Ichiban since they were out of beer.

This pub is a solid option, easy and predictable. It may not be particularly thrilling, but it gets the job done.

A big, long pub on Putney High St which isn't sure if it's a locals boozer, gastropub, restaurant or trendy bar.
