Capital Pizza - Lubbock

Worst experience I've ever had here at this location. Decided to try the lunch special, if you're thinking about it...DON'T DO IT!! I was charged $10 for a 1/2 sandwich with a salad. The salad was ALL croutons and dressing. The sandwich which was supposed to be an Italian BLT, was more like a T sandwich. They put nothing but lettuce and mayo and cheese. One lousy 1/2 strip of burnt bacon. WTH!!! Then the waiter was just talking to his buddy at the bar. So inattentive and could have cared less about us. Took the kitchen an hour to make our food. Service slow as a rock and I DON'T recommend going unless you've got 3+ hours to spare waiting on food and service.

Ordered a veggie pizza and it consisted of olives and onions?? would have liked to have a lot more variety

I'm in town for work and found this highly rated pizza place. Sure, the carnivore pizza was good. Lots of meat, light sauce and excellent crust. I will definitely come back for some garlic parmesan wings! The wings were cooked to perfection! Juicy and full of flavor. If I could have, I would have returned the pizza and gotten 10 more wings!

Best experience ever. Bartender was super attentive and even with multiple people/sections to run. Made sure everyone was taken care of even helped out people when they were down. Will return soon definitely!!!

If I could describe the perfect pizza crust and then have someone make it, I think it would turn out like the crust at Capital Pizza. Soft, chewy (in a good way), and warm on the inside, lightly crisped on the outside. The pizza is not soggy at all even though they don't hold back on toppings. There are lots of options for traditional and specialty pizzas, and a really extensive beer list. I typically love a BBQ chicken pizza, so I had to try the Smokehouse pizza which is similar but has pulled pork instead of chicken. It was SO GOOD. Meat lover's also was delightful and lived up to its name. The place is unassuming, there is parking available, and the service is very good. Update: It was so good we went back after a few weeks. This time, I had the special (Capital Cordon Bleu) and the flavor was everything I'd hoped for and more. The yellow topping is dijon drizzle. This place is consistently delicious. It'll be tough to try another pizza place in Lubbock in the future!
