Shoemaker's Grille - Lynchburg

The service from the waitstaff was slow, and they misquoted the prices for my steak. Although my steak was well done instead of medium, it was flavorful and tender. My wife ordered the special, but the waitress didn’t describe it accurately, which led her to receive a dish she didn’t enjoy at all.

We have visited Shoemakers several times over the past ten years, but unfortunately, this experience was not the best. My husband and I were surprised by how high our dinner bill was—it's never been this expensive before. Furthermore, our steaks were undercooked, and we felt that the menu offered fewer options than in the past. We were quite disappointed this time around.

Had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday. I will definitely be back!

Best experience I’ve had at Shoemaker’s. I read they have a new chef and he is amazing! I am Greek and i must say I’ve eaten a lot of lamb shank over the years, and i had my best ever last night! The drinks were delicious as well! I’ll be back to stay at Craddock Terry and I’ll be back for that lamb soon! My coworkers both said they each had the best steak of their life as well, one the filet and the other the ribeye. So, they really hit it out of the park!

No shrimp cocktail. Place closes way too early. Only 2 steaks offered on menu. Onion soup was very vinagery. Waitress was good. Bartender was good.
