Gemma Simply Italian - Melbourne

The gnocchi was disappointing, said there was basil but had only one basil leaf. My friend's parpadelli pasta with eggplant looked better though. We waited a whole hour for our food! It came out cold.

The staff were great but as soon as it got busy we had to wait a long time. The meals did not come out together so we waited until all of our table was served before starting to eat -so some waited more than 5 mins and their food started to cool. The gnocchi was beautifully light but the sauces were ordinary. It was nice -but not fantastic. Good value for money -cheap and cheerful, but not exciting. We had a good time!

The service was friendly and efficient and the food was fantastic. My table shared a pizza, parpadelle, gnocchi and caprese salad. I plan to go back and work my way through the pizza menu as it was delicious.

The restaurant has a great ambience, great menu, service and amazing tasting food. The service from our water was good and he even let us know about the city of Melbourne promotion.
