Campbell's Drive-In Restaurant

I love restaurants like this. Like going back in time. The owners have been here forever and know all the locals. They know the repeat summer residents too. They are friendly and honestly care about you. I buy my ice here for $1,block or cubes...More

It is a typical burger/ice cream joint. Nothing to rave about but I do continue to go there. Really good pizza and lots of flavors of ice cream to choose from including soft served. No where can you find cheaper ice for your coolers.

The Campbell Scale is a new food rating system my girlfriend and I developed after going to this establishment. The scale goes to 14... 0 Being Campbells..... 14 I can die now I have eaten the best meal of my life.This place was surprisingly HORRIBLE... we ordered sweet potato fries.... which were burnt, uncooked and the oil must be older than dirt. A hamburger which was fit for the BIN...I had one bite... and a fish burger that tasted like what a dirty dish rag smells like.... needless to say on the Campbell Scale this place is a FAT ZERO!!!oh they sell ICE and it was great... kept my cooler cold and everything. (But the ICE wasn't worth 14$... the price of the dinner we threw in the trash)... Drive to garden gate... always worth the drive!!!!(they are a solid 11.75 on the Campbell scale :) )

Very disappointing to go to "drive-in" style restaurant and splurge on calories only to get frozen fries... Not only are they frozen, but the "old" style "crinkle" fries... They could at least get the higher quality fries that resemble fresh cut with skin still on tips... Disappointing.

Its great to have them open again this year , its always been the best take out in gore bay .
