Sassy's Cafe Bakery - Mesa

We visited for breakfast and were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. However, they seemed unprepared for the breakfast rush on a Thursday morning. Our table was quite dusty and still had smudges on it even after the staff attempted to wipe it down. Unfortunately, we had to wait about 10 minutes for clean silverware after receiving half of our order. Once we got the silverware, we had to inquire about the rest of our order, but the staff quickly brought it out, which we appreciated. Overall, the staff was kind and did their best to provide us with a pleasant experience.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and tried the Sassy Stack breakfast, cinnamon French toast, and the senior citizens breakfast. Everything was delicious! I opted for the green chili beef in the Sassy Stack, which I really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We look forward to returning!

The food! Wow. I had the Reuben, and it was spectacular!!! This restaurant is owned by Melody Larsen, a finalist from the Food Network. The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is charming. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the restrooms are spotless. They also offer catering services. And let's not forget the enticing aromas! The smell of baked goods hits you right as you walk in. Mmmmm!

This is hands down the best carrot cake I've ever had! I ordered it yesterday for a late afternoon pickup today, and the whole process was wonderful. The candied pecans added the perfect touch, and my mom adored it! Thank you for such a fantastic experience. We will definitely be coming back. Just a quick note: Sassys does not provide candles.

Now, let me share what I enjoyed during my visit. I had the chocolate-covered cheesecake, which was both sweet and delicious, with a lovely drizzle of chocolate on top. The mint chocolate brownie was also impressive. We ordered a couple of s'mores brownies, which everyone enjoyed. Although we didn’t order any whole cakes, the ones on display looked amazing. However, not everything was perfect. The piña colada cupcake was a letdown; it was small, dry, and priced at $4, which felt a bit steep. We were informed that they don't always have them available. On another note, the men's restroom was aesthetically pleasing, with nice paint, flooring, and fixtures. However, it did have some issues—there was no toilet paper and the urinal was out of order. So while it looked good, it could use some functional improvements. I also think the staff could do a better job of informing customers about their ordering policy. If you're ordering multiple items—like we did with our eight—you should consider ordering twelve to get a discount. We missed out on a $12 savings because we weren't advised about this during our initial order, and the person taking our second order didn’t mention it either. One thing we didn’t try was their breakfast offerings, so unfortunately, I can’t comment on that. We also skipped their cookies and pies. Overall, there’s a lot to explore here!
