Steak 'n Shake - Midlothian

Looking at all the reviews and kinda shocked. Look, it's a fast food joint locally owned and operated. Mostly staffed by teens. Sure turnover is high. But here's the deal... no other fast food joint around here cooks fresh smash burgers to order like S&S. Grab you a double garlic burger, say hi to local highschooler, and move on. It's better than McDonalds.

Carlos, the chef, is truly exceptional. However, the young man at the register doesn't seem to be very attentive. Make sure to double-check your order if he takes it!

Ordered 6 single steak burgers an order of chicken strips and 3 fries. 40 bucks. The 4 inch mutchkeen burgers were blah. Not impressed. Will not eat there again. 8 bucks for 3 tiny strips. Really? No wonder the place has no business.

The burgers at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic! I tried the Double Garlic Burger with a large Snickers shake, and it was incredible. Everything was served hot and fresh. The food is so delicious that this place deserves to be packed with customers. I dined in the restaurant around 1:00 PM, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back. While this isn’t a large chain like Steak 'n Shake, I didn’t want to lower the rating just because it shares a building with a gas station.
