Robinson's No. 1 Ribs - Oak Park

I ordered a large combination of tips and hot links and specifically requested the sauce on the side three times. However, when I got home, I found my meal completely drenched in sauce. Due to my renal diet, I cannot have excessive barbecue or tomato sauce, which is why I emphasized my request. I tried calling the restaurant but couldn't get through. Could someone please respond? It seems like the sauce was used excessively for some reason.

I can only give this restaurant “2” stars for the food, mainly because my partner enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich. However, the RIBS?! I visited two years ago for the rib tips, and they were fantastic at that time, considering I live in the area. This past week, I returned and ordered some rib tips, as I was really craving them. However, I was disappointed to find that the rib tips were tough and had a texture that suggested they were old. I should have taken it as a warning when I didn’t even smell ribs cooking, and the floors were STICKY to walk on. In fact, there was no sign that any food was being prepared at all, and we arrived around 1 PM, which is still early in the day. I've been to many "hood" spots before, and you can usually smell fresh ribs being cooked from outside.
