Lakeside Cafe - OAKDEN

We have often had coffee here but this was the first time we decided to have lunch. After 49 minutes we were getting anxious as our lunch hour had been and gone. After asking our food and drinks finally arrived. We were told they were short staffed but if that was the case we should have been warned when we ordered to expect a delay and then it would not have been a problem. We would not go for lunch again. I should, to be fair, state that the food was lovely so if you have plenty of time give it a try. The lake setting is relaxing. Thus the three star rating despite the wait.

Unfortunately not too many positive things to say. The food was ok, just really lacked love and care. Presentation wasn't the best and the service was not fantastic either. Lovely location. Used to come here a lot for brunch, food was never amazing but loved the location. Nice river view. Food was better in the past, however unfortunately this time the only reason I ate any of my food was because I was REALLY hungry. Venue needs to be revamped. Potential to be a great spot. Hopefully was just an off day. Could give it a go, just don't have high expectations.

Honestly the meals are not great. The only thing enjoyable is probably the coffee, the chicken parmigiana, the view. However, the rest... to put kindly, is a waste of money.

They have changed owners a few times and menu, I won't be going back any time soon as prices jumped so high and less food. We ordered doorstops and ice coffees and it cost around $34Coffees extra small and only 1 peice of fancy bread as doorstop.I don't mind paying for what I get but can go to much better places with better prices

Ordered different pizza for a few times already both dine in and take out. i usually order with chilli sauce that was for free. the last time i ordered with the sauce, i was told to pay for that. overall, pizza are all good.
