Oelder Brauhaus - Oelde

Today, after a long day of work and travelling, we enjoyed a very good Thai diner (Pad King and Yellow Curry). Compliments to the chef, and we will visit again.

We came here in October for a meeting with friends. We arrived early and was directed to our table and the venue looks very pleasant from the outside and was nice inside. I thought the service was ok but some of our party weren’t happy...with it but my main issue is the price. I ordered the schnitzel which was at the expensive need yet I had to pay extra for and sides and extras which I think is a bit unreasonable for the initial price you pay. I looked at the sides that my friends ordered with the burger and it really was not the amount you would expect for the price you pay. One thing to avoid is the mayonnaise...which isn’t really mayonnaise at all, more like a flavourless cream cheese. We queried this and the waiter informed us that it was homemade whoever made it needs to try again what mayonnaise tastes like. The response we received wasn’t quite professional but made me chuckle, the waiter said “If you’d like we can bring you some mayo from Lidl”. Overall, it may be considered of high standard in Oelde but venture elsewhere and there are much better places for the equivalent price if not cheaper.

The place is very nice and looks very traditional. Many varieties of food and drink. You can have many traditional food there. I like the beer also. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Busy is the evening, better to have a pre booking.

Oelde is a small town with people living in the center. It is quiet town. The restaurant is at the mid of the town where you can see the kirzche and hear the bells ringing. The brauhaus atmosphere is more than a bar chic...dinning house you can find kobe steak and also dry aged meat the meat was wellprepared and delicious. You must try the local beer Pott's I like the principal one most. The servlce was good but poor english can cause problem... And eat before o'clock...

Menu is good and food was OK but not great. I have to give this place a shout out because we showed up late as a large group and they could not have been more welcoming. Our waiter was excellent as we sat outside on...a cool evening.
