Bento Sushi - Ottawa

This restaurant is an excellent option for a healthy snack to energize your shopping trip. The staff is particularly friendly, making it stand out from ordinary fast food places. The sushi was tasty, although it appeared to have been prepared earlier in the day. While it was fresh, it wasn't the absolute freshest quality.

I've walked past this restaurant every day for five years, thinking it was just another ordinary mall food option, but I was completely mistaken! I ordered a bento box yesterday, and it was not only a generous serving at a fantastic price, but it was also delicious and fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a lovely experience. I enjoyed it so much that I returned today for lunch! I highly recommend stopping by if you're near the mall!

I had an amazing experience yesterday at Bento (Rideau). The woman who took our order was incredibly kind and went out of her way to accommodate small adjustments we requested. What truly impressed me was her constant smile, which made a big difference. We will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant once offered great build-your-own poké bowls, but now everything is pre-made, and the prices have become too high, particularly considering current inflation. If you’ve had a tiring day, don’t be surprised if the sushi feels lacking in freshness and vibrancy, mirroring your own exhaustion. Don’t expect anything authentic, fresh, or customized to your preferences. Its location right next to a parking garage entrance means you’re constantly subjected to strong gusts of wind and the noise from the hustle and bustle of Rideau Street. I feel for the staff who have to manage the steady stream of people passing through the dining area.

I enjoyed a delicious tuna poke bowl full of fresh ingredients that tasted amazing. However, they had run out of brown rice, which was a bit disappointing. I believe that adding a more comfortable seating area would greatly enhance the overall experience.
