The restaurant also had a lively atmosphere that enhanced our experience. My only major complaints would be that the prices felt a bit on the high side, and I wished there were more options for soup dumplings—though that might just be my personal preference. I say this because many other dim sum places I’ve visited offer lower prices and a wider variety. Nevertheless, it was truly a pleasant dining experience, and I will likely return in the future.
I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The food was exceptional, earning a solid five stars. The service was equally excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. Highly recommended!
My longtime friend and I visited tonight, and we had a fantastic experience. Marco was outstanding, and the entire serving staff, from the kitchen to the dining area, was exceptional. I'm excited to see him more on weekends. Happy early birthday, Marco! Thank you for making our dinner even more enjoyable. Rating: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.
This restaurant still offers the best and most authentic dim sum in the US! The food is prepared by skilled chefs, served by attentive staff, and appreciated by diners who truly understand its quality. We've also tried several dishes from the main menu, and they've all been fantastic. However, nothing beats the comfort of a large bowl of congee and an assortment of dumplings on a chilly, rainy night at M&M.
--- **Restaurant Review** We tried several dishes, including HK shrimp shumai, crispy taro dumplings, chef's dumplings, chive dumplings, and chili oil dumpling sauce. Some standout items included the fried shrimp paste ball, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, and soup dumplings. However, we found the coconut pudding and steamed spare ribs to be just okay, while the Chaozhou dumplings and egg tarts left much to be desired. Overall, there were some hits and misses, plus we couldn't find some of the traditional staples, and the prices were on the higher side. It was decent for the area, but not exactly impressive. This restaurant doesn't operate with a dim sum cart; instead, you order from a menu using a paper form. There's a regular menu as well, but we didn’t explore that. I was particularly disappointed not to find tripe (niu ban ye) or the classic shrimp dumplings (Xiao jiao/ha gao) on the dim sum menu. This didn’t affect my overall impression too much, but it was still a notable absence. The chive dumplings were a pleasant surprise, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crispy taro dumpling—assuming you’re a fan of taro. The shrimp paste ball and shrimp shumai were also quite enjoyable. I recommend getting the chef's dumplings steamed rather than pan-fried (even though I usually prefer them pan-fried) and definitely request the chili oil sauce if you enjoy a bit of spice. Fried dumplings come with a sweet syrupy sauce, which doesn’t quite compare. Unfortunately, the steamed spare ribs were a bit fatty and lacked flavor. This is usually one of my favorite dishes, so it was a bit disappointing. The Chaozhou dumplings were overcooked and mushy, thanks to their rice flour wrappers that get gooey with over-steaming. The egg tart, while not terrible, tasted overly eggy and the custard wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chili dumpling sauce—I’d definitely ask for more! The atmosphere was more modern and upscale than I expect from a dim sum place, and it was relatively quiet. While this preference isn't a deal-breaker, it was a bit unexpected. --- Hope this captures the essence of your original review!
