Boiling Point Concept - Pasadena

First time here, food was great, we got seated VERY quickly for a Saturday evening, as other places had at least a 45 min wait.Staff was great and walked by constantly (given that it's a small place, to be expected) and checked on us frequently, much appreciated!

Just stopped by here around 10pm on Friday night and the 2 staff said they are no longer service. They close at 11pm. Whatever.

Been a long time fan of boiling point, it's become one of my comfort foods over the years. I always get the beef pot, medium spice with rice. I like to mix the garlic bean curd sauce with hot chili oil. I top it off with the rest of the offered condiments to give me the full range of flavors (but definitely the first two things are what makes this spot SOOOO BOMB).This specific location is really great! They gave us spicy sesame seaweed as an appetizer. Service is fast and friendly, we came at like 10pm on a Sunday after a long drive from the bay and we appreciated how efficient they were. My pot was nicely heated and one of the few times I didnt burn my mouth during a hotpot sesh lol. They gave us the chia seeds dessert afterwards and they came frozen which I actually really enjoyed.The space itself is clean and we didnt have to wait for a table because of the time. They also nicely space out their customers which I appreciated. Plenty of street parking out front but this could differ depending on time of day!

Wayyyyyyyyyy too spicy. I mean OMFG. The kitchen changed my broth twice. I also took it home and put milk and water in it. It was still spicy I couldn't eat it. Literally burns your mouth off. Too much lol.Food: 3/5

The quality of the meat is questionable. They got both our orders wrong. Charged dinner prices during lunch hours. Bathroom was filthy. Parking is difficult. Anthony our server is why they are getting 2 stars. He was friendly, attentive and hard working. I'm sure there are better places. I did like the individual hotpot since I'm a germ phobe.
