Menchie's Frozen Yogurt - Pearland

I saw baby cockroaches crawling on one of the yogurt machines I wanted to use, and I wish I had taken photos because I was just so shocked. I reported this to the person at the counter, but shortly after he went to check, another customer came up to buy a cup. I thought I could overlook it—a mistake on my part—and decided to get some soft-serve yogurt anyway. Now, I can't get that disturbing image out of my head, and that yogurt ended up in the trash. Having worked at Sonic in my teenage years, I remember that we had to clean the machines every night with a special solution and run hot water through the nozzles. Menchie’s really needs to adopt those practices as well. It's surprising that they have an "A" health inspection rating. This is unacceptable! They seriously need to get their staff organized!

The restaurant offers excellent options, including sorbet. The atmosphere is lively with upbeat music playing. In a review from 2016, I had a great experience. However, I’d like to provide an update from 2019: prices have significantly increased, as two sundaes now cost $18!

The yogurt here is delicious, but the variety is quite limited, and many of the machines often malfunction. It appears that there is a lack of management at this location, which leads to the staff being overwhelmed when asked for samples. I really hope to see some improvements in the future.

After buying our ice cream at the Menchie's in Pearland, TX, we headed to a table to sit down and enjoy it, only to be informed that the chairs were already put away for the night. There was still an hour left until closing time! We were told it was a policy, but it just seemed suspicious and felt more like they didn't want to put the chairs back out. If this is indeed a policy, it's a rather silly one that definitely needs to be reconsidered.

This is a clean and trendy spot, perfect for stopping by for dessert after dinner (check out my review of MOD Pizza). They offer a variety of flavors that change with the seasons, although the low sugar options lack diversity, which is why I gave a lower star rating. The kids really enjoy it, and that's the main reason we would return.
