Denny's - Peoria

I’m here, came to bring the kids. I didn’t order anything because I don’t like “dennys” but me and my partner brought the kids and ONLY the kids ordered from the kid’s menu. It’s been about 35 mins now and they still have not brought out the kids food or to refill drinks. Don’t get the orange juice it has an after taste and is disgusting. Service here is so awful ridiculous.

Can't go wrong with cactus wallpaper! I like when a chain still gives a nod to local flavor so that was a good start, and everything looked clean. Was here for my free birthday breakfast and it was smaller than years past--no toast if you get the pancake, but the fluffiness of the pancake cheered me up from the toast loss. 2 eggs perfectly prepared over easy, but when I asked if the sausages were patties or links server said links but when I asked if they were skinless or had skins, she had no idea what I was talking about but I took a chance. They had skins! That made my day since to me skinless is like a patty in texture and I like the bite of a skin that seals in the juiciness and these were perfectly browned, flavorful, and juicy, not greasy. Perfect. Partner enjoyed the hearty nine grain pancake breakfast very much, but pricey at 9.99. The server started off attentive, but then forgot about us so that was too bad. Upon checkout, we were told partner couldn't get his 15% AARP discount since I had my birthday treat and I expressed disappointment since one has nothing to do with the other and he should not be penalized since I dragged the poor long suffering man to spend my birthday at Denny's. The cashier (manager? agreed so we left on a high note.

According to the manager at this restaurant if you don't order the meat in the strawberry crepe meal they won't let you substitute an egg which is way cheaper than meat incidentally, and since it is against my religious beliefs to eat meat I am apparently not able to pay the regular price of the crepe meal like everyone else and they won't make any substitutions to allow for my vegetarianism. To me this is discriminatory and I ended up paying $13.19 for the very crepe breakfast when it should have been $10.79. the manager said she would adjust the bill and I told her as long as it doesn't cost anymore I'll go ahead and get it but after I ate the meal and got the bill it was more expensive for me being a vegetarian that it would have been for a meat eater. So for the breakfast and a nice tea plus tax I ended up paying $16 not including the tip. I tipped the waitress $3 anyway because it wasn't her fault.

Burger is good but the fries were not fresh. When someone orders food everything should fresh especially the simplest frozen foods. Hot food HOT AND COLD FOOD COLD
