My husband and I went here for our first date night since having our first baby and moving to Peterborough. We drove by thinking what a gorgeous building, so happy we went in! We decided on a spontaneous dinner at The Publican House last night, and we were thoroughly pleased! Our server, Katie, provided outstanding service – she was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We tried the lamb special, which was incredibly delicious, and the buttermilk fried chicken was equally amazing. We also shared a dessert that was the perfect ending to our meal. The men in our party enjoyed the beer flights, and I had a refreshing cider on tap. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We were seated at a fantastic table on the balcony with a lovely view, which made for a comfortable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we will definitely return!
