Holland House Beach - Philipsburg

The hotel is really perfect! The location is great directly on the beautiful Great Bay Beach and in the middle of the city center of Phillipsburg. Beach loungers and beach towels are provided for free for hotel guests. The rooms are very modern and spacious and the ones facing the ocean have a beautiful view. Staff is extremely helpful and kind special thanks to Adriana from reception.

My stay at House of Holland on Sint Maarten was an unforgettable experience. The charming blend of modern elegance and tropical ambiance created a luxurious yet cozy environment. The staff's exceptional service, coupled with the well-appointed rooms and the culinary delights at the on-site restaurant, truly exceeded my expectations. Its proximity to local attractions and the tranquil beach views make it an ideal destination for any traveller. Simply put, House of Holland is a true gem on this beautiful Caribbean island.

We stayed at this hotel for five days for Carnival. The room and location were great. The housekeeping, front desk, bar staff, even the security personnel provided great customer service, helpful and very friendly; however, a staff member (food runner), in the hotel restaurant, by the name of Maria, was not as customer-focused nor friendly to us. There seems to be a serious lack of organization within the hotel’s restaurant. While the older wait staff are seasoned in the service industry, the younger staff members have no idea what it means to be friendly and customer-centered. Additionally, a family of four sat down at the table beside us 15 minutes after we’d ordered, yet they received their food well before us! Not to mention, our waitress never came to check on us after we placed our order with her. Our interaction with the entire hotel staff was awesome until we encountered Maria, and the waitress on the last day of our visit. Although I’ll stay at the hotel again, I’ll steer clear of the restaurant. The restaurant service there is horrible.

This is an outstanding hotel, an excellent restaurant and some extraordinary service staff for the most part. Unfortunately the overall experience is tainted by the spotty performance and attitude of the beach staff. This is particularly disappointing in a destination beach resort. I would recommend it anyway because there is a great place to conveniently get your own food and drinks next door. The Nu Love bar. So after reading the response below it makes some sense. We weren’t in that group. We were ignored while they were fawned over, along with other non-guest chair renters. We went next door to serve ourselves out of necessity and this was not the experience we were expecting. We couldn’t even get the staff’s attention by hollaring and waving our arms. I won’t go back.

Beach front on great bay ! Updated rooms. Delicious food and cocktails. Beach service with chairs and umbrellas. Walking distance to great restaurants and great shopping. You can stay here and drive to beaches on the French side and explore. No pool , no hot tub. You don’t need them though. We already booked our next stay. We rent a car and travel all over the island. Awesome base of operations.
