Honey Bear's BBQ - Phoenix

I came to Phoenix for a softball tournament and my friend and I went there for dinner on the first night. I had the pulled pork, beans cole slaw. It was fantastic. We came back the next day for lunch with 4 other guys from the team. I had thebrisket this time. I have to say it was delicious, but not a great difference in taste. I came back a THIRD time the next daywith 5 MORE players. I repeated the pulled pork. Everyone loved the food. Great BBQ sauce too. I can't understand the badreviews I'm seeing. All I know is that everyone has different taste buds!

It's been a pretty long time since I've been to Honey Bear's BBQ!... The food has not changed one bit and I'm extremely happy with my lunch today! I came in today, from the post office across the street , it's been awhile since I've been down inPhoenix, I'm usually on the west valley but I couldn't fight the temptation to grab a pulled pork sandwich, mac cheese sliceof peach cobbler pie! When I tell you that I was in heaven, I mean it! The owner was welcoming and as friendly as always, staffwere nice and my food came out in a flash! If you haven't been to Honey Bear's Bbq you need to stop by and try their deliciousfood, they're a must try and an absolute gem of the Phoenix valley! I didn't ask, but I'm curious if they offer a discount forpostal workers, if they did they would immediately make a lot of loyal customers!

The food was good I had the sandwich plate with brisket, mac n cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was good. I think you can definitely get cole slaw wrong and it was all right. The BBQ sauce was perfect for the sandwich. You order they call you to getyour food and you sit. I noticed other people, probably locals, and they were there for maybe an hour if we ate in 30min. Theywere still there when we left if that gives you an idea of atmosphere. Service was quick and people were pleasant.

This is the most pathetic lunch. Smh I can't believe they are charging 14.99 tax for 1 piece of fish that they cut on half and potato salad. I got more sauce than food. Nasties potato salad I've ever had in my life. McDonald's fish filet taste better thantheir fish. I'm disgusted. I will NEVER return to this place.

Always good to support local, and black-owned businesses. I tried their specialty, the pulled pork sandwich and while good on its own, it's better when you lather it with their sauce. Would like to try the brisket the next time I stop by.Their fries are delicious as well. Well seasoned and crispy. ??
