He looked confused when we informed him that we had ordered two entrees and a salad. A waitress came over and mentioned that the food runner had mistakenly delivered to the wrong table. We appreciated that the incorrect entrée was complimentary, but unfortunately, it didn't stop there. When we finally received our two entrees, both came with regular fries and only ketchup—no dipping sauces. Additionally, the house salad was served without any dressing. Despite our efforts to communicate that we were still lacking one dipping sauce, it was never corrected. The staff seemed quite young and inexperienced. When it came time for the bill, we noticed that a 20% gratuity had been automatically added due to an event happening that evening at the Footprint Center. They did deduct the cost of one entrée for the inconveniences, but overall, I was disappointed with the experience. I won't be returning, as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area to choose from.
I ordered rosé wine, but it wasn't available, so I opted for white wine instead. It was served in a cheap plastic glass, so I requested a proper wine glass. The server said no because it gets rowdy. I also asked for prices on the items, but I had to specify each one. The server replied that it was "approximately" this much, and she couldn't even give me a definite answer. We ended up ordering two glasses of wine, an Impossible Burger for $17, and a toasted ham and cheese sandwich for $76. I was puzzled since we were told the burger would cost about $17. I briefly spoke with the manager to let her know we were having a poor experience, and although she said she would come over, she ended up making a phone call that lasted until we left. We thought maybe things would improve, but unfortunately, you can't fix poor service.
TIP INCLUDED be aware that apparently this NBA season they decided to INCLUDE A 20% TIP IN YOUR BILL. Absolutely ridiculous they started doing this on game days. We were very supportive of this business as seeing when it was hard rock, it failed. and since beer is unaffordable inside the arena, we loved to support the Ainsworth. This new feature has driven me and my friends away from this place. We always tip and are always generous but when places start being greedy, we’re out.
Jules is the best. She was able to take the Lemond drop to a whole upper level. Adian has the smokers' old fashion to perfection. Then, the whole spot turned into a vibe. This is my Goto when I visit Phoenix.
Reservations for 6:00p service “started” at 6:30 AFTER WE finally got the server attention. Another section was being served after being seated much later than us. Served food at 7:10p (server said ticket/orders backed up)...went to restroom and about 1/2 of restaurant was full inside... plenty of servers/help. We kept getting “I am so sorry”... but no manager ever came to table... on top of that, the bill automatically charged 20% gratuity for tip (we were a table of 2)...Do not recommend. Horrible experience from beginning to end.
