So she started to move on to things and wait for me to nod. I landed with red rice, a veg and a mice. the mock meat was ridiculously good, the veg were all well cooked, and I couldn't finish my teller! and it came to 45 baht. no English there at all, but if they know that it is vegan (it has the ‘17’ symbol everywhere), I think it doesn’t play a role? Of course not ideal if they have any allergies!
We often go to this place as it is very close to Art-C hostel where we climb 3 times in the week inside. it is a typical little jay (vegetarian) restaurant where it serves a buffet. they have a special dish that looks like bark meat and surprise, surprise. it tastes just like bark. the taste, the texture. it's crazy, or should I say, it's fun! I have no idea what kind of mushroom it is and how on earth it is as similar to meat, but I know it is delicious. they pamper themselves or their friends and treat them a beautiful Jay menu.
I live in this opposite. it is very tasty and not typical Thai place because the owner is from taiwan. She speaks pretty good English when she is there. I'm sure eating is vegan, but I'll confirm next time I'm here. the portions are larger than a normal Thai place and the price is somewhat more than in 5 baths or so. eating is tasty and you can actually taste the sweet and so on because they don't use much flavor. some of them are sharp. the mock meat is extra when they order that not be surprised. often they have brown rice. they have nudel soup, which is great as most jai restaurants do not use it anymore. the personal is friendly and especially from myanmar. they have opened another restaurant on the same street as immigration more in the direction of the city. both places usually close by 1-2pm not 4pm from my experience. delicious food. updated by previous review on 2018-05-15

Nice little hole in the the wall type of restaurant. I didn't understand the system and there were no other customers to watch so I just pointed at something that looked like a red curry and to the rice pot and also to a banana leaf bundle. I gestured that I would sit down there and eat. Staff gestured to me to go get water my self from the water station with steel cups and a large thermos. From the thermos I got hot water and then they showed me an ice bucket that I was supposed to get ice from, to cool the water down. The food was really good! The red curry was hot and the banana leaf bundle contained sticky rice and fake meat filling that was rather sweet. I payed 40 baht for this little feast.
