Famous Dave's B-que - Portland

Great food, great service! Early bd celebration with son Before heading back to Houston , Texas!! WE NEED A FAMOUS DAVES IN LOUISIANA AND HOUSTON ASAP!!

Until today I have never been to this establishment. I don’t think I will be returning. I read other reviews and they all sound like my experience. They have replies from the “owner “ (who knows) the replies say the issues will be addressed. I’m not sure they were as my visit was absolutely terrible. First my sister and I was seated right away only to sit and wait 30 minutes for a server to get a drink order from us. By that time we knew what we wanted. I ordered an appetizer which didn’t even come out with our order let alone before the meal. We waited another 30 minutes for the food to arrive at which time I reminded the server of our appetizer. And another 20 minutes waiting. We were never offered refills on drinks. The fastest thing I saw all night was the guy washing the table. That towel was moving so fast it almost flew out of the guys hands. This was not a busy night as we could see. Anyway just my opinion this is not the ideal place.

Eating was good, and the server was very attentive. except some pesky flying around our food (we sat inside, not outside) it was a good place to meet for a lunch.

It was delicious!!! I also had fantastic service from Patricia!! I had never been to Famous Dave's, but WOW I definitely did again!!! Thank you.

Tables were spaced, but I witnessed a patron at the next table sneeze 3 times into the air with no mask and without covering his face. He put us all at risk and I was completely disgusted. Also the restroom at this location smelled insanely strong of sewer it was the first thing I smelled before I sat down to eat. The food itself was cooked fine. It is seasoned way too heavily with salt however, which ruins the meat/bbq. My husband also had stomach issues after the meal and barely made it home to the toilet. In all, this was our first time trying to eat out since the pandemic started, and we do not think it was worth it to eat out at a restaurant. We will not be eating out in person again, and we will not be back to Famous Dave's regardless.
