This is where the experience truly begins, as the layout is quite different from your standard restaurant. We walked past the kitchen and then up a narrow staircase, and suddenly we found ourselves in a cozy space filled with exquisite Italian culinary delights. The area is intimate with only a handful of tables. We were warmly welcomed by our waiter and Chef Armando himself! The menu deviates from the typical Italian-American fare, and I realized this when I spotted tripe on the menu—definitely not a common sight in Italian restaurants (and it must be ordered in advance). The menu resembles what a traditional Italian dining experience should be. To start, we ordered an appetizer that was simply excellent, featuring a delightful assortment of salamis, olives, cheeses, melon, and more. For my main course, I chose the Pollo Casariccion, which was fantastic—truly the best chicken I've had in ages. The lentil soup was also outstanding, and the wine selection was exceptional. Although I’m not usually a fan of red wine, I had a glass at my husband’s insistence, and it was spectacular! I felt like I’d been transported to another world. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals without a single complaint. Chef Armando really exceeded my expectations, and it was clear he has a genuine passion for his work and the people he serves. I recently learned that Chef Armando is planning a cruise for next year, and I’m very interested in joining the group—I can only imagine what an amazing experience that will be! Bacco has just made it onto Yelp's Top 100! Be sure to make your reservations in advance, as it’s clearly becoming a popular destination!
I absolutely love this place! The food is incredibly delicious—it's the best Italian I've come across in the US. I definitely recommend trying the specials or the tasting menu. Chef Armando always manages to amaze. I highly recommend Bacco!
I've always noticed this restaurant bustling with customers, so I finally decided to drop by for pasta on a Tuesday afternoon when I saw there was no wait. The cuisine is very authentic Italian, unlike the Italian-American style; it genuinely feels like Italy. The chef also serves, and he is a super friendly guy who is great at making recommendations. It's a fantastic spot if you're looking for a *taste of Italy*. I also love the charming little back porch they've created; it's a cute way to increase seating and allows for outdoor dining year-round.
The food here is perfection. Everything on the menu is homemade and fresh, and every staff member here is in a amazing mood. This is the best Italian food I?ve had in a very, very long time. The owner is also really funny and makes you feel like home. This place is a hidden gem in prov. There?s nothing like the taste of this place anywhere in Rhode Island. The prices are a bit high, but you really do get what you pay for.
Outstanding food, wine and service. Armando was gracious and spot on with food suggestions. Definitely coming back.
