The kolaches at this restaurant were tasty overall. I enjoyed the speck, egg, and cheese kolache with jalapeño paprika, but unfortunately found an eggshell in the last bite of my daughter's regular ham and cheese kolache. This slightly marred an otherwise enjoyable experience for me personally. I hope that in the future, the restaurant will be more careful when preparing their kolaches. I would rate them 3.5 stars out of 5.
I used to live in Texas and developed a love for kolaches, which are best described as similar to a pig-in-a-blanket. However, they are not as common outside of Texas and, I suppose, Czechoslovakia. When I visited Provo and saw a Kolache place, I had to try it. The restaurant looked like it was always closed, but I spotted it open one morning and decided to go inside. The kolaches here are probably more authentic than the ones in Texas, but there are many different varieties to choose from. I tried the sausage and a peach danish, both of which were delicious. My only complaint is that they did not serve coffee, so I had to go to a nearby coffee shop to complete my breakfast. There is not a lot of seating space inside, which is not a problem on a nice day, but the line sometimes goes out the door. Overall, a great place! I would definitely go back if I had the chance.
This place is so spiritually good that they can even taste Brussels sprouts. No kidding. I had all the Kolaches on their menu at least twice each and several Kolaches made custom; every time I was blown away in a maelstrom of charity.
Best Kolaches I've ever had in my whole life and the service was super friendly and efficient. They even marked the box so I knew where every taste was! I'm definitely back.
