Thomsons Rottnest - ROTTNEST ISLAND

Located in the Settlement of Rottnest, this restaurant is a wine bar with a great outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the ocean waves while sipping on drinks. I ordered the roast quail with parsnip mash and raisin sauce ($18) and the Fremantle octopus with chorizo ($22). The octopus was tender and the quail was delicious. The portion sizes are smaller but satisfying.

This restaurant is perfect for a meal after a day exploring Rottnest Island. The coastal views are beautiful. We enjoyed the delicious chili mussels and prawn cocktail we ordered. The only downside is that the kitchen closes at 3pm, which led to some disappointed customers leaving.

We had a delightful meal after a day spent on Rottnest Island. The chilli mussels were fantastic, and our family also enjoyed the calamari, chicken parmesan, and linguine with crab. Everyone left satisfied, and the location can't be beat. Definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Couldn’t fault a thing. Service was great, genuine, attentive and authentic. Food was great, again, authentic so much depth and perfectly executed. The menu was spot on. Bonus points would be for a heater outside. But i would wear extra layers if needed to eat a meal here.

Olives with their own restaurant baked bread …the bread was so soft and the olives paired so well with it. Rigatoni pork suffused pasta with an amazing flavour . Not at all pretentious, but exactly as described and amazing to eat. Special on the night spicy pasta with fresh cooked prawns. Light ocean flavours without overloading the pasta. The spice was on the tongue and missed the lips all together. WOW. I don’t do restaurant critiques but if I did, it would be a good one. Never been here before, but I’ll come back. Megan was our server, and she, like the other staff was amazing friendly, efficient and really pleasant. Apparently this place changed owners and 99% of the staff. You could not see it. Well oiled machine and amazing food and service.
