River Kwai Resotel offers a fantastic stay, immersing guests in lush greenery and providing an affordable luxury experience. The atmosphere is divine, perfect for a peaceful retreat. However, the hotel is in a remote location, so having your own vehicle is recommended. While the restaurant was decent, it didn't match the overall high standard of the hotel. If someone likes peace, quiet, lack of civilization, being close to nature this is the perfect place. Here you practically forget about the outside world and time slows down. There are not many attractions here: there is a lawa cave nearby, the possibility of bamboo rafting on or a boat trip on the river and walks, but it is enough to relax, regain strength and distance from everything. The resort itself has 2 swimming pools, a restaurant and a spa with massage services. The nearest larger town or shops are over 70 km away. Therefore, it is worth having your own car because getting there may be a problem.

The rooms are nice and spacious. However, they have a strong weird smell and we were coughing all the time from that smell. Since it is a damp place and with their poor maintenance, the rooms have mold. I think that's the reason of that weird smell. Their front desk service was the worst experience I have ever had. They are not qualified to work in this industry. They are very rude and don't even have the basic etiquette. Thailand is famous for their top-notch customer service and I was very surprised to have this poor experience in this country. There is no other restaurants around the hotel, so you have no choice but to eat at hotel restaurant. As a saying goes hunger is the best sauce, they serve the food with the best sauce called hunger. We had to wait more than an hour to get our food every night. To sum up I don't recommend this place.

This hotel is a true gem in the jungle! I regret that we only spent one day here! The garden and the cocktails are wonderful! The food we ordered from the menu was also very delicious! Breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety. The staff is very friendly! I recommend it to everyone! Rooms: 5 Service: 4 Location: 5
