The N/A pairing was every bit as delicious and thoughtful as the alcoholic pairing, and the team behind the meal was answering questions and talking us through their journey throughout the meal. We walked away pretty full, but on our own two feet.My favorite highlights: a delicious brown butter bread, tomato mochi, stuffed potato, a corntastic dessert, a honeydew mock tail.
What Chef Rob and the team at Bulrush are creating is truly exceptional. The food is extraordinary, and the extensive research and meticulous attention to detail in their approach to dining is remarkable. The flavors are astounding, and the dishes are delightfully surprising. The non-alcoholic drink pairings were impressive and diverse, with the cocktails being particularly unique. This experience is well worth the price, and other restaurants could learn a lot from the concepts on which this establishment is built.

This was our first encounter with Ozark cuisine, and we were thrilled to enjoy two new fish dishes personally prepared by a fantastic chef! We have dined at many fine restaurants across Europe, and Bulrush is among our top favorites. Chef Rob creates his dishes using historical recipes that are well-documented. For instance, if a recipe was featured in a Missouri newspaper in 1808, it becomes part of his culinary repertoire. He sources all his ingredients locally and provides detailed explanations about them. I particularly enjoyed the whitefish croquettes, while my date loved the tomato corn dog. I highly recommend this place!
A uniquely unforgettable experience.My partner and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here in April, and I'm counting down the days until our next visit.The chef and staff go to great lengths to educate diners about food and history in the Ozark area in a way that feels meaningful, raises awareness, and frankly, makes me feel proud to live in Missouri.As an empathic individual, I was worried my ability to enjoy the food would be overshadowed by my own white guilt as I sobbed into my Ozark dishes, but that wasn't the case. Kudos to chef and the staff for their incredible work. We'll see you again this month.
