Another employee examined the deal by the front doors and returned to tell me I needed to purchase five of the same item, even though the deal was advertised as mix and match. Despite my explanation, the manager did not come over and the employee stated there was nothing she could do to help. I was told to go to customer service to resolve the issue. After wasting 10 minutes trying to resolve the misunderstanding on a Sunday, I decided to give up and told them I would not return due to the lack of concern for customer satisfaction. The employee seemed indifferent to my frustration. It appears that Kroger does not value its customers, so I will be sticking with Meijer in the future.
Customers have been dealing with the same frustrating issues for months at this restaurant. Many have waited in line for 20 minutes or more, including at the self checkouts, which always seem to be closed. It's baffling why they have them if they're never open. Additionally, one of the entrances is frequently closed due to cart retriever problems, forcing customers to walk back out for a cart. The staff is always understaffed, and it seems like they could use some help. It's disappointing to see this once great store decline in quality. It's best to avoid the hassle and dine elsewhere.
I waited almost 20 minutes for my deli items. Despite being the only customer, the young man working was very slow and kept stopping to chat with other employees. His greeting was rude and lacked any sense of care. I had to do self check out for my $350.00 groceries. Luckily, the young girl at self check out was helpful. I specifically ordered Boar's Head meats and cheeses due to severe migraines, but I received Private Select and Kroger brands instead. This was unacceptable and I was extremely disappointed.
I had ordered 2 dessert trays in advance for a special event, but when I went to pick them up on the scheduled date and time, I was informed that they were not prepared. However, the staff offered to quickly put together a different dessert option using whatever ingredients they had on hand.
