Choc Cookies - Santa Clara

We were in the area for the 49ers game and looked this place up. I will be honest, when we drove up I was a bit concerned because of the area and how it sits. All I can say is it was WELL worth it! We got some cookies right from the oven and they were incredible. I will make the trip back from Texas to get more.

Cookies are gigantic, think Levain Cookies, with a chewy center just the way I like my cookies. Cookies are sold in 4 count boxes — you can mix/match flavors. Their seasonal cookie, Pumpkin Spice, was very good! Soft, chewy, real pumpkin flavor.

My friends and I decided to satisfy our cookie cravings one night and stumbled upon this place. Located in a strange alleyway with limited parking, we eventually found the sign for "Choc Cookies." The menu was simple, offering only 4 flavors of cookies. You couldn't purchase individual cookies, so we opted for a custom box with lemon, Oreo, chocolate, and chocolate chip. Priced around $4 per cookie, they were sizeable and deliciously crunchy with a gooey center. The warm cookies in the box added to the experience. The lemon cookie had a strong citrus flavor, though I could taste a hint of baking soda/powder in the middle. The chocolate cookie was rich and not overly sweet. The Oreo cookie was a standout, featuring crunchy Oreo bits and white chocolate chips. The chocolate chip cookie was good, but grew monotonous halfway through. Overall, it's a must-visit spot for anyone with a sudden craving for cookies.
