Lively local hangout with delicious bites and cold beer. Do not expect an English menu. We just lied to the waitress to bring us what she liked: beef censor soup and sashimi. Both were excellent, and the blue fin tuna was really excellent.

Put your hands down, one of the best Izakayas I visited. Everything from the atmosphere to the service to the food was phenomenal. “Yasu san” and the whole staff was so friendly that there was never a boring moment in return with them! Not to mention, the service was also very fast despite a busy evening. The “Sansho zuke” ≠づ deserved the highlight no.1 for me. A special spicy sauce that went excellent with the catsuo and rice dishes. Besides the food, the drinks were all fantastic. Especially the sake and orange sourcing (which was made for the first time with fresh oranges, I have ever seen this!. 100% recommend this place to anyone who visits or even lives in Sendai. Perfect Izakaya experience. * Make sure you book a place in advance as this place is known to be full on weekday evenings.
