When we went up to the second level, the vibe was entirely different. The music was a bit too explicit for my taste, and the dancing was surprisingly provocative. So, once it gets busy up there, it’s definitely not my scene. However, I really enjoyed the first level—the ambiance was fun, and the people were warm and friendly. I would definitely come back, but I wouldn't go upstairs again. Overall, I had a great time!
Great spot! The downstairs area features a hookah lounge, a bar, and pool tables, plus there's karaoke for some fun entertainment. Upstairs, you'll find a DJ and a vibrant club atmosphere.
We didn’t try the hookah lounge, but there appeared to be a wide variety of flavors for those interested. Additionally, it was Ladies Night until 11 PM on Fridays, so we were able to get in for free! I plan to return, hoping for an opportunity to update this review with more positive notes. Update: I've revisited the venue multiple times. I've discovered that the crowd typically doesn't show up until after midnight, and it's usually busier around 1 AM on Friday or Saturday nights. I now opt for a well drink, like a rum and Coke, for $5 each, instead of the disappointing and pricey fruity cocktails. The dancing can be a lot of fun when the place is packed, so I'm updating my review while retaining my previous comments for a balanced perspective.
They're assholes! The entry charge is $7 and I Gabe them a $1 tip, but they took it apon themselves to take $3 instead. Just be careful with that.
**Pros:** The music definitely gets people on the dance floor, and there are different levels that set distinct vibes (the upper floor plays rap, while the lower one is more subdued and also features a hookah lounge). Plus, the cover charge is only $10. **Cons:** The dress code is inconsistent, and there was an overwhelming amount of smoke everywhere—both inside and outside. The bathrooms are crowded; there were only two stalls in the one I used downstairs, and I had to wait in line with seven other women. The DJ played some of the same songs repeatedly. I suspect the drinks were watered down because my Blue MF was overly sweet and didn't have much of a kick. The dance floor can get really crowded, and if people are doing a line dance, it’s best to move back if you’re not participating. As for parking, sometimes you can find $5 spots next to the club, but if you arrive late, you'll likely have to park farther away and walk. I drove in from Texas hoping to have a good time, but our plans hit a snag when they wouldn't let us all in due to a male friend's shirt being too long (see attached picture). The shirt was at his waist! We asked if he could pull it up or roll it up, but the bouncer said no. Eventually, after taking some photos for Yelp and one of my friends complaining at the entrance, we were allowed in. It seemed the dress code didn’t matter anymore since we hadn’t changed. The club closes at 5 AM, and we left around 3. Mixed drinks cost around $9 to $11. While there is a dress code, I still haven’t found it posted online anywhere for the public to see. **Tip for newcomers:** Park on Milam Street. I parked near the Law Offices of Peter R. Flowers at 101 Milam St #100, Shreveport, LA 71104, and had to walk about 4 minutes back towards KOKO Pelis to reach the club. The casino is close by, marked by flashing lights, so it's a good landmark. To be a little closer to the club, try to park near the other flashing light.
