Grape Central - Sofia

One of the best wine bars in Sofia and a great restaurant in general. I love the cozy atmosphere, the wine selection, the friendly and attentive staff and the delicious food. Don't miss their special events and weekend brunch! Very recommended place!

This place has been on my list for years, my god why didn’t I visit sooner ? Incredible atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and with a impressive wine list that won’t break the bank. Food was delicious, and they didn’t hesitate to offer non conventional wine, and encouraged it further. A gastronomic centre for the senses.

So glad I was able to come here in my brief time in Sofia. On Saturday night the place was absolutely full and booked up, yet totally empty when I returned Sunday night. The owner and bartender graciously welcomed me and recommended me a couple Bulgarian wines, first a nearly lost varietal of white, then the pictured Gamza, which was an incredibly expressive light bodied red. I also had a delicious schnitzel (not Bulgarian but exactly what I needed), and a crème brûlée, both prepared by the sweet owner. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great service and the wine selection was obviously top notch. Even better for groups since you can try several bottles!

New menu has landed for grape central. So it had to try. the hummus was kissen soft and had a nice crispy toast to go with him (although I liked more), the burrata and rockkete salat had a really pleasant dressing, some black pfeffer for kicks would emphasize it even more. must try the rest soon! it still feels a bit shy, but I'm sure the cook just bends the muscles. what the wimes trust me, there is no possibility that they do not like the selection here or if they ask the nice personal to recommend.
