The chicken tacos were tasty, but since I prefer authentic Mexican dishes, I would rate this spot as just okay. The service was pretty...
I won't be returning to this restaurant. Make sure to check your order before you leave! Three out of four times, I ordered a shredded beef burrito and received a bean burrito instead, despite being accused of ordering the wrong thing. The last time I visited, they refused to help me at all. Since I live in South Reno, it’s a 15-minute drive each way, which makes the poor service even more frustrating.
First impressions matter, and I was immediately put off by the cleanliness of the restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I noticed grime on the windows and handles, but I reluctantly decided to stay. The staff behind the counter were friendly and sweet, which was the highlight of my visit amidst the overall unkempt atmosphere. There were only three or four other patrons there, which added to the unsettling vibe. When my food arrived, I quickly realized it was not what I had expected. I received a large, cold flour tortilla burrito topped with an overwhelming amount of shredded lettuce. To my surprise, it was only lukewarm at best. Forget about the tantalizing idea of a hot dish—this was more of a cold American burrito with a heap of lettuce and a blob of unappetizing, cold sour cream that looked as if someone had given up entirely while trying to spread it. The beans inside were clumpy and cold, and the AL pastor meat didn’t taste anything like authentic Mexican flavors. Instead, it resembled a mix of shredded beef and pulled pork that was cold and difficult to chew. Overall, the experience was profoundly disappointing. I wouldn’t go so far as to label the food as merely terrible—it was genuinely worse than that. I left feeling disheartened and will definitely not be returning.
It only takes a bad experience to ruin the reputation and credibility of a well-established restaurant in a growing community. With the lack of recipe breakdown after placing the order, it is difficult to check all food items specifically price. Especially when wrong foods have been restored and only once checked home. After I called the location, I discussed the error to a few employees to just say that the wrong product would have to be delivered to the restaurant and would have to be discharged for the right product. After the statement of leadership or supervision that it is ridiculous to drive all the way back to the city, just to get the right item to throw it away was ridiculous. But I can start with the manager when she comes in a few days. But if I went through the drive thru, I checked the order, but it was my word against the cash register. So in the end, avoid the facility, but if you don't mind waiting for an answer or lack of accountability, then it's a perfect place for lack of gloss Mexican foods that trade comfort and quantity for quality.
Very good food. Quick. The workers were very kind. Taco Tuesday is a great time to buy large amounts of tacos at a way lower price. My family of 6 all liked the tacos.
