Lumberjacks Cafe - St Andrews

The best place in town for breakfast, and subs. Locally Family owned cafe. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Homemade bread, cookies, cheesecakes, muffins and donuts.

Great location, but that's about it. Just a very middling breakfast experience.Mylobster benedict was just fine, but not at all great. The Wife had the large classic breakfast. The bacon was soggy instead of crisp as requested, the scrambled eggs were dry and the hashed potatoes were bland. We didn't have the luxury of time to send it back.The service was continental, as in adequate but rather indifferent.

What a quaint little gem. We came here for lunch, and it was busy, but mostly people getting sandwiches to go. I don't remember exactly what we ate (perhaps an egg BLT? , and a side of soup. It was really good. There isn't a kid menu, but the chef was happy to make my daughter a plain grilled cheese. Staff were very friendly, and the place is clean. Tons of extra seating in the back as well (the restaurant looks smaller than it is . If we are ever back in St Andrews, I would eat here again.

Nice folks but the food was not great. The breakfast potatoes were swimming in oil and inedible. Coffee was weak. Disappointing.

The restaurant has quite a few local patrons. The food is decent, but the selection isn't very impressive. The staff is friendly, although they seem a bit understaffed. Fortunately, the wait time is minimal.
