Meada's Garden - St. John

The restaurant is closed but continues to accept reservations, which is confusing. I visited, and it seems like it has been shut for quite a while. I recommend not making any reservations here.

The restaurant is permanently closed, yet I was still able to make a reservation. I arrived and was extremely disappointed.

This review does NOT reflect the wonderful meal we enjoyed there in 2021, which we loved. Instead, this review pertains to our experience in August 2022. Both Google and OpenTable indicated that the restaurant was open, and we successfully made a reservation through OpenTable. However, when we arrived for dinner, we discovered that the restaurant was closed. After trying to call, we eventually asked someone at the bar next door, who informed us that the restaurant had been closed for reservations. As a result, we had to scramble to find another place for dinner. Please update the status of this restaurant to accurately indicate that it is NOT currently open!

Despite OpenTable twice confirming this reservation, when we arrived, it was closed. We were told they haven’t been open for weeks. Don’t waste your time. Go somewhere else

Unfortunately I cannot say anything as Open Table allowed me to book a night at this restaurant while vacationing with my family at St. John. My wife and I made a reservation for a date night just the two of us without the kids and when we showed the restaurant was closed! We checked their webpage and Facebook page and there was nothing posted about being closed. In fact, it remained closed the rest of our time on island. How does Meada's Garden not post their closing on their webpages and block reservations from occurring on open Table??? Poor customer service and social media management. Reservations are almost a MUST while on St. John. Luckily my wife and I were able to get lucky and were seated at another restaurant saving our date night. We will not be visiting Meada's anytime soon.
