Rustic Reuben

The food and service here are outstanding; I would definitely give it a 10/10 recommendation. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, and they are well-versed in the menu. If you're unsure what to order, they will provide excellent suggestions. This restaurant is a must-visit. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, and they serve the best fries I've ever tasted. What are you waiting for? You should be heading there right now to enjoy a meal!

This place is an absolute gem! As a devoted smoked meat enthusiast, I can confidently say it's among the top three smoked meat experiences I've had in Ontario. The owner is incredibly friendly, and they truly know how to do things right. If you're in the Hamilton area, this is a must-try!

Ultimately, I chose the O.G.—the Reuben, which is fitting, given its prominence in their name. For those unfamiliar, a Reuben consists of Marble Rye bread filled with house-made corned beef, sauerkraut, butter pickles, house-made Russian dressing, and Swiss cheese. The balance of the bread, meat, sauerkraut, and toppings was perfect. With each bite, I experienced the saltiness of the corned beef, the acidity from the sauerkraut and pickles that cut through that saltiness, the creaminess of the dressing, the crunch of the pickles, and occasionally the flavor of the Swiss cheese shining through. It was a delightful explosion of flavors and textures with every mouthful. If I find myself back in Hamilton, I’ll definitely be trying out the other protein options!

I visited this restaurant after a doctor's appointment across the street. The friendly staff greeted us warmly, explained the various options, and highlighted the most popular dishes. I tried the OG, while my husband opted for the Spicy Melt, and both were absolutely delicious. The presentation was spot on, and you can tell they truly put their heart into their work! We will definitely be returning!

This is, without a doubt, the best sandwich I have ever tasted. The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and take great pride in their work, whether it's brining and smoking the meat or crafting their own jams and sauces! If you find yourself near Hamilton, be sure to visit this hidden gem!
