The charming location earned a perfect 10/10, and the service was quick and efficient. The coffee paired beautifully with the cake. My only suggestion would be for a more substantial afternoon tea selection, but I can certainly overlook this as it's a minor cultural preference.
However, the meals were truly remarkable. The meats were flavorful, with such deep layers of taste that they would make anyone question their loyalty to other cuisines. Every dessert was a perfect finish that consistently elevated the dining experience. Although the menu lacked variety for a week-long visit, this actually allowed me to enjoy my favorite dishes without the stress of missing out on anything.
Extraordinary! As a vegan, my dining experiences in Scotland have been quite varied. However, the Argyll Hotel on Iona stands out like a beacon. They clearly prioritize taste, presentation, and quality. The menu features appetizers, mains, and desserts that can be specially adapted for a plant-based diet. You can feel the ethos of the hotel in everything they do, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I sometimes wish I weren't vegan, just to explore their non-plant-based dishes, which must be equally exceptional. Be sure to book a table to avoid disappointment!

This is a super relaxed hotel on a stunning island. Standout is the food, prepared with love, care and innovation. Each evening menu is made up of home grown vegetables, local seafood, local produce and never disappoints. Relaxed lounges, great views over the bay. Loved it.
