Akash - Thurrock

I have been to numerous Indian restaurants in the Grays/Thurrock area, and this one stands out as the best. The food is delicious, ordering is straightforward, and the staff all speak English, making it easy to communicate any dietary needs.

I had previously written a positive review for this restaurant, but after dining there a few weeks ago, I must say it was a disastrous experience. It was possibly the worst meal we have ever had, despite dining out frequently. The bread was even burnt, and the entire meal lacked flavor. The sodas were flat, and when we mentioned it to the staff, they brought us even flatter ones. The restaurant was empty, aside from us and a few takeout orders, which was a bad sign. The service was terrible, and we were not asked how our meal was. When my husband expressed his dissatisfaction and refused to pay, the owner (presumably) was extremely rude and aggressive. Most of the food remained uneaten, and I have no intention of ever returning. I wish I could give this place a zero rating.

I can't believe all the negative reviews because I have had a great experience each time I have dined here. I have been to this restaurant four times and each visit has been fantastic. Despite living in Fulham and dining all over London, I would choose to eat here above all others. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Even when we tried the buffet on Sunday (and I usually don't like buffets), it was delicious and not watered down or compromised like some other places. I am surprised that some people could say it is terrible.

Went with family, ordered some drinks and soft drinks were totally flat! Food was tasteless we had Sag Cheese served rather than paneer (menu says paneer). Food was tasteless best thing was poppadum and mouth freshener mint. It is a Bangladeshi Restaurant not even Indian ! Will not recommend at all not worth your money if you are really starving go to Tesco next door and get Chicken Tikka Masala will taste better than this restaurant’s food.

Gave akash a try again was spot on Food is great but waiter taxi man from tiilbury you need to get him out his very rude bad for business mr boss man.
