The show was both fun and engaging, and the meal was excellent—definitely enough to leave you feeling full! They also ensure that you have plenty to drink throughout the evening. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting TRF.
We ordered The Traveler's Feast, which was advertised as sufficient for two people, but goodness, the four of us couldn't finish it! The meal included two ceramic tankards, an insulated soft-sided cooler, three types of meat, plenty of beers, water, desserts, fruit, salads, vegetables, cheeses, and more. The leftovers were too heavy to take with us, so they kindly stored the cooler for us until we were ready to leave. While it was pricey, everything was excellent, with nice touches like wet wipes and extra masks. I recommend choosing healthier options and steering clear of the fried foods.
The King's Feast isn't inexpensive, but you definitely get your money's worth. The entertainment is top-notch—prepare to laugh numerous times throughout the evening. As for the food, it's not just the best at the festival; it's among the best you'll find anywhere. Make sure to come hungry, because there's a generous amount of delicious food, and if you'd like more of anything, don't hesitate to ask; they'll be more than happy to accommodate you. I had avoided this event in the past because I was hesitant to spend that much on festival cuisine, but I was completely mistaken. From now on, I plan to attend every year.
I enjoyed the show I enjoyed the service I enjoyed every single bit of the Kings feast definitely will go back!!
(Edit: It looks like the reviews that I'm defending against were pulled or deleted. But just in case they show back up, I'll leave it here. This place is deserving of a five star review for the food, drink, and show. I'm writing to set something straight. The king did not ridicule or dismiss a gay couple. I was there at the table, and those two are friends of mine (they should be posting reviews soon and they are not gay. In fact, one of them is recently engaged to the woman who was sitting to his right. The two men stood up because last week marked twleve years of their friendship, not a relationship. When the king asked them how long, they said twleve years friendship anniversary. I could not make out what, if anything the king said, but he certainly was not derogatory, and indicated they should sit. My friends were just having fun and they were not put out or upset. Furthermore, the crowd did not go silent. As far as we could tell, the entire thing went unnoticed. We left in good spirits full of good food and drink. In my decade or so of attending the Texas Renaissance Festival and three years at the King's Feast, I have seen nothing to suggest any sort of anti LGBT feelings or policies. It certainly among the most inclusive institutions you can find within Texas.
