I had take-away Punjabi curried lamb. I thoroughly enjoyed. I was told there was a 20 minute wait, but my food came out in 10. I asked for and was given plastic cutlery because I was taking my meal back to my motel. Will go...More
Decided to sneakily try this one with the single family member that hates curry away for a few days ...!! Chose takeaway. Most curries on the menu $14.90, or an extra dollar for their specialty choices.Friendly greeting from a pleasant young chap with just enough cheery English to capably handle the order.Very pleased to see that this place offers a bit of a discount for family meals with their "dinner for two" option. We tend to avoid places that don't!!So we chose the Pakora entree option from a choice of two. Little flat fritters with an unknown base ... possibly a vege mixture. A little on the oily side, but easy on the palate, and served with a tasty dark sauce - interesting pleasant flavour, but unknown-to-us origin.Chose lamb korma and their specialty sour lime curry with the chicken option as our included curries (they graciously allow to choose any two from the menu). The meats were succulent and beautifully cooked, and plenty of it, sauces delicious. The sour lime sauce was new for us, and definitely worth another try.Two serves of saffron basmati rice in the deal .... beautifully cooked.A nice raita was included too ... neither this nor the above dark sauce were mentioned in the meal description, so they were unexpected. Chose a garlic, and a cheese and garlic naan as our two bread inclusions. To be honest they both tasted the same .... and not particularly garlic-y ... but useful for mopping up the sauces anyway. The final inclusion were two mango lassi's .... delish. The whole shebang for 43 bucks, with a wait time of around 20-25 minutes .... exactly as the gent had advised when ordering.Against that background, this place earns a solid 5 stars, with an "I'll be back" monnicker on top!!
We had a party of 35 people in the restaurant and it was great.... it was saturday nite and they seems to be really busy but still they provide us with the great food and excellent food... thanks curry n spice
We ordered takeaway and was not disappointed. My husband ordered Lamb Saagwala and I had the Chana Curry (chickpeas) and both were delicious. It was a reasonable wait time of 20 minutes after ordering, and the staff were very pleasant. Looking forward to eating from here again.
