Today, while I was searching through my wallet for my debit card—passing over several frequently used credit cards—the snarky teenager behind the counter snapped at me, "WE ONLY TAKE CASH OR DEBIT!" Yes, I know, I’ve seen the five signs about it, which is exactly why I was trying to find my debit card. I really have to crave a croissant to tolerate the unfriendly staff. Whenever I come here, I get the impression that my presence is an inconvenience to them. I hope some new businesses open in the area and encourage Fleur du Jour to update and improve their service. The food is good, but they really need to train their staff to treat customers with the same respect they would expect for themselves.
I ordered a café Americano along with an almond croissant, and I have to say, the almond croissant was one of the best I've ever had. If you're in the St. Clair West area and in the mood for a delicious pastry, I highly recommend Fleur du Jour.
The raspberry croissant pastries are honestly the best things I've ever tasted. If I had to live on them alone, I would be completely satisfied. Their artisanal cakes are not only beautiful but also a delight to eat. Seriously, just go and enjoy it. This place is fantastic!
The croissant was exceptional—fresh and delightful. The coffee was quite good as well. However, there is limited seating indoors. My only concern is the pricing of the coffee. It feels off that a cortado and a macchiato are priced the same as a cappuccino. At $5, it seems overpriced given that they contain significantly less milk.
Fleur du Jour is by far my favorite bakery in Toronto! The only drawback is that their pastries are so delicious they often sell out fast. The croissants are buttery, flaky, and delightfully light. My favorites are the kouign amann and the apple tart!
