My husband and I wanted to order a grilled cinnamon roll, but she told us no, stating she would only place one order and we could decide later if we wanted another. I ordered the corned beef benedict and asked her if the corned beef hash was homemade. She replied, "Yeah, everything here is homemade." I requested my eggs to be fried over medium instead of poached, but they arrived undercooked, sitting atop a pile of canned corned beef. Our waitress never checked on us to see how our meals were, and when I mentioned that the eggs were still raw, all she said was, "Oh, sorry." It was extremely disappointing.
I was quite disappointed with my experience at the Dream Diner. Every order at our table was incorrect; while they did manage to get the eggs and bread right, it was far from impressive. The food itself lacked flavor. The waffles were so dry and cardboard-like that I would have preferred a pre-packaged Eggo waffle. My eggs were served cold and had an overwhelming olive oil taste. If you aren't a fan of your eggs swimming in olive oil, I suggest you avoid this place. The hash browns were dull, lacking any flavor except for the taste of oil and butter. The bacon was disappointingly thin and did not impress. They also messed up my bread by slathering it with butter, which is not to my liking. Overall, they got nearly all of our orders wrong. I think I’ll look for another diner where I won't have to wait for disappointing service and bland food.
This restaurant is truly charming. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was attentive and quick. I really appreciated the decor. There’s plenty of parking available, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. It's a spacious diner, so I can imagine it gets busy on weekends. However, we visited on a weekday and were seated right away without any wait. They also offer outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend this place.
The day started fine, it was a bit crowded but we were greeted with coffee and muffins in the waiting area. Breakfast, however, was not very good. My son found a large bug that had been cooked along with his home fries. When we brought it to the attention of the waitress, she brought the Manager over. The Manager apologized, and offered reparation. She was very sweet but then her apology went south...she then proceeded to tell us the bug must have come in on my son, that she had just looked at her kitchen and it was clean. His response was I'm sorry but the bug was cooked into my food, was flattened, and buried in home fries. Very disappointed.
Comfy setting made to look like a vintage diner, with cute kitschy decor. Very fast and friendly service. Good coffee. Simple food done pretty well. Check out the extensive omelet list.
