Maxfields - Village of Potsdam

Maxfields provides a wonderful dining experience that ticks all the right boxes for a fantastic night out. The food was not only delicious but also carefully crafted, with flavors that truly shone. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, making it an ideal place for both casual meals and special celebrations. Our waitress was extremely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The live music was an unexpected delight, creating a vibrant yet relaxed ambiance that enhanced our entire evening. I highly recommend Maxfields to anyone in search of great food and a memorable experience.

We absolutely love this restaurant! Lexi was our server and she offered us fantastic recommendations. The French Onion Soup and Green Chile Chicken Soup were both delightful. My husband really enjoyed the Sweet Spicy Asian Chicken Wings. The chilled rosé wine special was just right. During our last visit, we dined on the patio by the river, but the rain today meant we had to eat indoors. Regardless, we had a wonderful dinner!

We were seated at a flat top table and informed that we needed to go to the bar to order both our drinks and dinner. The staff's attitude was unprofessional. I won't be returning.

The restaurant is average food, but good location and great terrace on the river to eat outdoors. Every time we go there something is not available from the menu (drinks or food) so maybe they should consider reducing it and rotating items. I had a Nicoise salad with very raw tuna(just a sliver browning at the edges, but I was hungry and I ate it anyway). Dressing very bland and little -I had to ask for additional oil, but the worst were the raw green beans! Never in my life I have been offered raw green beans in any form. They need to be at least blanched. The only good dish seems to be the wings.

The best across the board restaurant in the area for a comfortably elegant experience with your besties.
