The chef personally greeted us and made us feel like part of the family. Everything was perfect - thank you for a wonderful experience!
I have been eagerly anticipating my visit to Amandus for quite some time. As I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for a flavorful journey that would leave a lasting memory. The romantic atmosphere set the stage for a carefully curated dining experience, with eight masterful dishes that left me thoroughly satisfied. Each dish was extraordinary, with a divine and clean taste that showcased the best of local ingredients. From the catfish mousse to the gazpacho, every bite was a delight. The bread with whipped brown caramel butter and local hummus on crackers were both delicious. The Stranger in the Night dish, featuring onion jam and bao, was a delightful surprise. The Burning Love mashed potatoes and trout tartar were standout dishes, but the mushroom soup stole my heart with its warmth and well-balanced flavors. While the lamb dish didn't quite suit my taste, the desserts were creative and captivating, especially the elderberries with bourbon vanilla. The three chocolates dessert was a playful combination, though the mango added a hint of confusion. Overall, my experience at Amandus was truly memorable. Chef Deivydas is an artist, and his culinary creations will surely find a special place in your heart.
I went to this restaurant for dinner with a friend and had a great experience. The service was very friendly and the pre-set menu was on par with some of the top French restaurants I have been to. The standout dishes were the two desserts. The pricing was very reasonable and they had a wide selection of wines available by the glass, in addition to bottles and wine pairings. I highly recommend this place. The only downside was the numerous email reminders before the visit and the need to confirm the booking on the same day, which was a bit annoying. It might be better to require a credit card instead. However, the fantastic dinner more than made up for any inconveniences.
Thoughtfully curated seasonal delicacies, expertly made for a carnival of flavours for your tastebuds. Everything from the service to the interior are carefully thought-out. A must go to place for a gastronomic experience in Vilnius.
November 2019: Great experience and delicious food and drink. Top class restaurant and good value for money. April 2023: Still delicious food and a great experience with a good value for money I highly recommend a visit! However, now they only had a tasting menu and I must say as fine dining the service falls short it is acceptable for fine dining, but compared to some other fine dining restaurants it is not the same class. However, everything you see and taste is high class. We had the wine package, and that was a mistake too much heavy reds for us consider having two glass of different white instead.
