Oyster - Washoe County

I absolutely loved my experience at the Nuggets Oyster Bar. My family enjoys ordering the pan-seared dishes, but my personal favorite is definitely the clam chowder bowl. I would highly recommend trying it if you're in town, as long as you don't have a seafood allergy!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the oyster bar. We ordered the clam chowder, calamari, and cioppino with pasta. The food was fantastic, and they served some incredibly delicious fresh bread.

There isn't a designated line for reservations, so we arrived 10 minutes early only to wait 25 minutes in a seemingly short queue, despite there being many empty tables. During that time, the hostess and servers seemed to struggle with assigning tables to the right servers, which felt quite disorganized. However, once we were seated, the rest of the experience improved, and our food arrived quickly. The food was decent, but not as impressive as I remember it being. I'll likely consider dining at other places in the future.

It took 15 minutes to get bread, 20 minutes to place our drink orders. An hour 45 minutes to eat after we were ready to order 5 minutes after we got seated. Never been like this before. Probably a new waiter.

We were a group of 13 on July 12th. The service was inexcusable. 2 dinners came out cold, entrees were served as much as 30min apart. Oysters came out after soup. Some soups were served while others waited. Some were done eating b/4 others got served. Food was mediocre. Never came by to serve more water or drinks. They were obviously overwhelmed. The bill was way over $500 and no apology. Needless to say we will not be back. There are many other restaurants to choose from. We were also all but 2 staying at the hotel. So guess that won't happen again.
