Plaza Family - Waukesha

This was my first time visiting the restaurant, and I found the food and the burrito to be quite impressive.

I spent $40 last night on a terrible meal. The beef was dry and lacked seasoning, and the ground beef had an odd flavor. Everything was greasy and unpleasant. I won’t be coming back!

Authentic Mexican cuisine with original flavors and generous portions. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly!

I ordered a $10 16 oz lime margarita on the rocks, but it was extremely watered down. I was tempted to voice my complaint, but I felt bad given the lack of other customers. The three hard shell tacos with chorizo were disappointing too; in fact, I couldn't even finish them, and that’s unusual for me. The taco shells tasted stale, and the chorizo had an overpowering vinegary flavor. As a huge chorizo fan, I must say this was the worst I've had in quite some time. To my surprise, the refried beans and rice tasted like they had been sitting around for several days. I could have done without them, though the rice was somewhat passable when covered in fresh salsa. Maybe they were having an off night, but I’d recommend waiting to visit until the owners prioritize improving their food quality.

I want to give this restaurant an A+ for customer service. I placed an order through Grub Hub, and after waiting for over an hour, I was informed that my order was canceled. It turned out that no driver had ever come to pick up my food. I called the restaurant, and they had my food ready for pickup just 15 minutes after I ordered. They were sincerely apologetic, even though the issue wasn't their fault, and they offered me a complimentary meal as compensation. The food itself was fantastic! The al pastor meat was especially delicious. I will definitely give this place another try, but I'll skip Grub Hub next time.
