Hakalok - Welwyn Hatfield

I've ordered delivery from here three times, and each time it just keeps getting better. The food is fantastic, and the delivery is always prompt. I can't wait to visit the restaurant in person soon!

For the main course, the steamed sea bass was excellent. The main bones had been removed, and the fish was served split in half, making it very enjoyable—though be mindful of a few lingering bones. Overall, it's a dish you should definitely consider. On the other hand, the sauce for the chili chicken was on the thicker side, and the portion was relatively small; I’d recommend it for one person rather than sharing. The vegetables, sautéed bok choy with garlic, were well-presented but quite salty. Also, be cautious about sitting too close to the kitchen as the cooking fumes can drift out during food prep.

We came here for dinner and was greeted with a warm smile and hospitality. We picked 3 dishes that were authentic Malaysian choices. Each dish was freshly prepared and full of flavour. Great service too! We urge you to try it!!

We made an order with uber eats and our door number was not on the order (MY MISTAKE) however……!!!!! A Simple call to us to give the door number over would have been sufficient but we were asked to log into Uber and add a note or change the address Which we tried, but Uber would not allow this and it kept asking us to call the restaurant to give address over the phone ….simple!!!! So we called back and gave the relevant info. However the lady was very Rude, Obnoxious and Patronising. She asked me in a very sarcastic manor ‘if we were going to have to call the restaurant every time we place an Uber delivery’ like I’m going to leave the door number off in every order I place. You would think that at this time of year being January and the current situation the world is in she would have been nice about the situation I mean we spent 35 pounds ish. Omg just can’t believe how rude she was we won’t be eating in the restaurant as planned for future if this is the customer service she gives. Lol not submitting this until our food is delivered

Aliceegucci's 2018 review highlights a common issue with TripAdvisor—her experience at Hakalok doesn't reflect the reality of the restaurant. The food is diverse and delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are quite fair. If you're looking for a Malaysian feast, you won't find a better place!
