Simply Southern Cafe - West Monroe

I’ve had several people I work with that told me I HAVE to try for lunch so I did. It’s a great little southern dive with a southern feel and plenty of southern hospitality. There’s a nice lady near the door playing an organ and the lunch was a buffet style plate. I’m sure they have a different selection every day so there’s likely something for everyone. However, the lunch was a little pricey at nearly $20. I’m glad I went for business where the company was paying for lunch. I can’t justify paying that for lunch. The locals didn’t seem to mind at all as they were packed when I went. I will likely return for a menu item because I enjoy that type food and atmosphere.

The homemade food and desserts were absolutely delicious! I also thoroughly enjoyed the pianist during my visit. If you appreciate country-style cooking, this place is a must-visit.

The food is fantastic, and the lunch specials are excellent. The staff is wonderful as well. This place is definitely a must-try and one that you'll want to return to again and again.
